The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyy, chaired a meeting of the working group on unmanned systems in the Armed Forces.
According to Syrskyy, his strategic goal is to transform "the Ukrainian army into a high-tech army, where soldiers will be provided with the most technology, which will help us not only to have an advantage over the enemy, but also, most importantly, to save the lives of our soldiers."
The meeting was attended by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoliy Barhylevych, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhaylo Fedorov and unit commanders. The working group identified priorities for the development of land, sea and air unmanned systems and outlined key tasks at all levels.
He stressed that the plans include improving logistics, supply chains, workshops, communications, training, recruiting capable crews for unmanned units, research and experimental work, and removing bureaucratic barriers, particularly when it comes to writing off lost drones.
"The unmanned systems forces are a type of troops that must constantly improve in the face of new challenges and realities. I plan to hold such meetings regularly. We will be flexible, dynamic and proactive. This is the only way we can build the army of the future,’ added the Chief.
