Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that the United States would support Ukraine regardless of its representation in Congress and whoever becomes the new US president.

"Regardless of who becomes the president of the United States, we are clearly aware of one simple truth: it will be the choice of the American people. We have always appreciated the bipartisan and bicameral support that Ukraine receives, both from the [President] of the United States and from the Congress [...] Whoever is the president of the United States is a society based on democratic values. And the elections in the United States will not change the essence of the commitment to democratic values that American society professes. It is for these democratic values that the best sons and daughters [of Ukraine] are dying today,’ Stefanchuk said.
