Hungary will participate in the Peace Summit in Switzerland on 15-16 June. The country will be represented at the event at the level of Foreign Minister.
This was announced in a statement by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
‘The reason for our participation is that we are absolutely on the side of peace, and therefore we participate in all events where peace is on the agenda,’ he said.
‘We respect the peace efforts of Switzerland, we will participate at the level of the foreign minister,’ he added, noting that ‘it is always useful to talk about peace.’
At the same time, Szijjártó also spoke about the absence of Russian representatives at the event.
‘We believe that real results can be expected if everyone is at the negotiating table,’ he said.
