The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has sent an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure that officials comply with the dress code.

He said this at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada. The Speaker of the Rada believes that government officials who present bills in the Rada should comply with the dress code.

According to him, several times representatives of the same ministry came to the parliament inappropriately dressed.

‘I think this is a normal European practice,’ Stefanchuk said of the dress code.

He added that people related to military service may come in non-weekday clothes.

Stefanchuk did not say which ministry the MPs had any comments on the dress of the representatives of which ministry.
