The level of trust Ukrainians have in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy continues to decline, but is still high. This is evidenced by a sociological survey (16-22 May) conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

According to the poll, after the 2019 presidential and parliamentary elections, 80% of Ukrainians trusted Zelenskyy. However, by February 2022, the level of trust had gradually decreased to 37% (and before the invasion, there were already more people who did not trust him).

After the invasion, the level of trust rose to 90%. By the end of December 2023, the level of trust had dropped to 77%, and by February 2024, it had fallen to 64%. As of May 2024, 59% trust V. Zelenskyy, 36% do not.

The KIIS notes that, in addition to the president's own performance, it is important to understand the perception of his party, which has a majority in parliament. As can be seen in Chart 2, 7% of respondents assess the activities of the Servant of the People party as fairly or very good. One-third of respondents (31%) assessed the party's performance neither well nor poorly. At the same time, 55% of respondents rather or very poorly assess the performance of the Servant of the People party.
