Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrhydroenergo has lost about 45% of the generation of its hydroelectric power plants due to constant Russian shelling.
This was announced by the company's CEO Ihor Syrota on Suspilne broadcast, Ukrinform reports.
"We have lost about 45% of generation. We have almost lost the Dnipro hydroelectric power station,’ Syrota said.
Russia fired 118 missiles at Ukrainian hydroelectric power plants. However, according to the head of the company, the international community's response to these strikes was too sluggish.
The damage to the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station amounted to €2.5 billion, and the total damage from Russian attacks is more than €3 billion.
