EU becomes observer in International Coalition for Return of Ukrainian Children

The European Union has become an observer in the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

This was stated by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, on X. 

"In line with the discussions during the Summit on Peace in Ukraine, the EU became an observer of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. Now it is time to act and to bring back all the thousands of forcibly transferred and deported Ukrainian children," he wrote.

He also added that weaponising children must stop immediately.

“Russia must be held accountable for this heinous and inhumane crime," Borrell said.
