On Wednesday night, Russians used Shahed drones in the western regions of Ukraine. Air defence forces were operating near Lviv.
According to the mayor of the city, Andriy Sadovyy, on his Telegram page, a UAV hit was recorded in Malekhiv, Lviv territorial community. An apartment building was damaged, with windows smashed out.
The Russian shelling also caused damage to an office building. A 70-year-old security guard was injured and had to be hospitalised.
Later, the head of the regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyy, clarified that a 47-year-old man in Malekhiv had suffered cut wounds to his hands, and that medics had treated him on the spot and did not need to be hospitalised. Meanwhile, a 70-year-old man wounded in the same village is in moderate condition.
Five other private sector buildings also suffered from broken windows as a result of the shock wave.
As of 8:30 a.m. Sadovyy also said that another destruction was recorded as a result of a night attack by the Shaheds - the building of the Research Institute was damaged.
