Ukraine has identified Russian commanders potentially responsible for the brutal murder of a Ukrainian defender in Donetsk Region. The investigation is checking this information, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The deceased has been identified. Confirmation of the data is underway, said Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.
"This fact is yet another confirmation that complete disregard for international law and universal morality is the state policy of the terrorist country of Russia. Every world leader who shakes hands with Putin must realise that they are shaking hands with a person who tolerates barbaric murder," he said.
Yesterday, the Prosecutor General's Office reported another war crime committed by Russians. In Donetsk Region, the enemy beheaded a Ukrainian soldier without taking him prisoner.
