Russia is recruiting Ukrainian children to set fire to vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and offers them several thousand dollars for this. This was reported by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.
Lubinets notes that Ukrainian teenagers are recruited via the Internet.
"The aggressor country is not ashamed of any means to achieve its goals and uses Ukrainian children for this purpose. Currently, they are recruiting minors to set fire to military vehicles. In return, they promise them a monetary reward of several thousand dollars. They offer "earnings" to teenagers through social networks," the ombudsman writes.
There have been cases of arson attacks on military vehicles in Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipro. This situation and the recruitment of children by the Russian Federation is another way for Russia to destabilise the situation in Ukraine.
"I would like to emphasise that such acts are punishable by criminal law! Therefore, I urge parents to tell their children why they should not do this. And also to tell about the cunning of the enemy, because in the future the Russian Federation may come up with other recruitment schemes. Children should be vigilant on social media and not succumb to Russian provocations!" Lubinets adds.
