The agreement with Estonia states that its government has set a goal of allocating at least 0.25% of GDP annually from 2024 to 2027 for military support to Ukraine.
"Estonia will continue to provide Ukraine with lethal and non-lethal equipment and ammunition from Estonia's national stockpiles, as well as new procurement in various fields, to help improve Ukraine's military capabilities in restoring its territorial integrity. The main focus will be on Ukraine's most urgent needs, such as artillery and strike systems with ammunition, unmanned systems, electronic warfare, information and communication technologies (ICT) and other means that affect the course of hostilities on the battlefield," the document says.
In addition to Estonia, President Zelenskyy signed an agreement with Lithuania.
"Lithuania will provide Ukraine with security and political support every year. And we will definitely be in the European Union and NATO together," the Ukrainian president said.
The text of the agreement states that Lithuania will seek to provide Ukraine with annual support in the security and defence sector in the amount of 0.25% of GDP."Lithuania will provide Ukraine with security support and modern military equipment in the land, air, maritime, space and cyber-electromagnetic spheres. Lithuania will also potentially resume a military training mission on the territory of our country. Certain provisions of the Agreement provide for joint counteraction to hybrid threats and nuclear risks, as well as strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure and cooperation in the field of intelligence," the statement said.
The document clearly enshrines support for the Ukrainian peace formula and our country's membership in the EU and NATO.
