On 27 June, it was reported that an explosion had occurred at a power plant in Kyiv.
This was announced by Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
"An explosion and fire occurred at a power facility in the Shevchenkivskyy district of the capital," the mayor said in a telegram.
All services were sent to the scene.
Klitschko later said that a short circuit had occurred at the transformer substation and smoke was observed.
"There is no further fire. There are no destructions, damage to the premises and no victims. Emergency services are at the scene," the mayor added.
A thousand consumers are currently without power supply due to a short circuit. Klitschko said that DTEK specialists are already working and promise to switch customers to backup lines within an hour.
