Russians have attacked the Burshtyn thermal power plant in Ivano-Frankivsk Region more than 12 times, and the facility is beyond repair.
This was reported by the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Svitlana Onyshchuk on the air of the Zakhidnyy Polyus radio station.
The Burshtyn TPP in Ivano-Frankivsk Region is no longer subject to restoration due to massive Russian shelling. It is known that the occupiers have struck the thermal power plant more than 12 times.
"For some time now, we have understood that Burshtyn TPP is not subject to restoration, it is extremely damaged," Onyshchuk said.
She added that due to the significant damage to the TPP, Burshtyn may be left without heat and hot water in winter. The issue of allocating six boiler houses to supply heat to the city has been agreed upon.
The last time the Russian army attacked Burshtyn TPP was on 22 March 2024.
