International partners will soon provide Ukraine with additional air defence systems and ammunition. These include three Patriot air defence systems, additional IRIS-T and SAMP-T.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"International partners have heard us. We were able to convince them that strengthening Ukraine's air defence is a top priority. Italy will provide us with a second SAMP/T system. Romania will provide one Patriot system. Germany will provide one Patriot system and, in addition, IRIS-T and Gepard systems. The Netherlands is currently assembling and will provide us with another Patriot system," Shmyhal said.
In addition, the United States has given Ukraine priority in the supply of missiles for Patriot and NASAMS.
Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway are also providing additional missiles for Patriot. Spain will also provide missiles separately.
Sweden will send Ukraine 2 radar surveillance aircraft, which will allow us to see air targets on approach to enemy territory and allow us to better prepare for repelling attacks.
"We hope to receive all these systems as soon as possible and see the result of this work in the coming months," the Prime Minister added.
