Despite losses, the Russian military continues to rush towards Pokrovsk. Fierce fighting in Krasnohorivka, in the areas of Progress, Zalizne, Pivnichnyy and Chasiv Yar. The Russians are trying to capture Stelmakhivka and Makiyivka and are attacking Ukrainian positions in Ivanivske and Klishchiyivka, seeking to seize the floodplain islands on the left bank of the Dnipro River.

In fact, active fighting is taking place along the entire frontline. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyy.

In his opinion, stopping the Russia's offensive, which has a numerical advantage, requires "effective fire damage to the enemy's main forces and reserves on the far approaches, comprehensive damage to the enemy in front of the front line, steady holding of the engineered borders and positions, the most effective use of all weapons and ammunition, especially combat drones, in which we have an advantage."

He added that it is also necessary to learn new ways to destroy Russian reconnaissance UAVs in the face of a total shortage of short-range anti-aircraft missiles, using only electronic warfare and FPV drones.

Syrskyy stressed that this requires high-quality training for the performance of combat missions by all categories of military personnel. In particular, the training of headquarters at all levels.

Syrskyy said that during his work in the most difficult areas of the frontline in eastern Ukraine, he checked the progress of preparing the reserves for combat operations.
