"Ukrnaftoburinnya has received permission to resume gas production at the Sakhalin field in Kharkiv Region. This was announced by Oleksiy Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz Group.According to him, the relevant decision was made by the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal."Due to the cancellation of the permit, production at the field stopped at the end of 2023. We expect its resumption and additional volumes of gas that Ukraine needs so much before the start of the most difficult heating season," Chernyshov said.
- Earlier, the court cancelled Ukrnaftoburinnya's special permit for subsoil use. Last year in December, the Supreme Court refused to allow Asset Recovery and Management Agency to appeal the decision.
- The head of the ARMA, Olena Duma, has repeatedly stated that this decision could leave residents of Kharkiv Region without gas supply in the event of a full-scale war.
- Duma even appealed to the National Security and Defence Council and the Verkhovna Rada on this issue.
