On 9 August, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate UAH 2.7 billion to rebuild four settlements in Kherson, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy Regions.
According to Shmyhal, last year the government launched a pilot project for the comprehensive restoration of a number of settlements.
In particular, these are Yahidne in the Chernihiv Region, Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson Region, Tsyrkuny in the Kharkiv Region, and Trostyanets in the Sumy Region.
"Today, the Government has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure to quickly process and immediately allocate UAH 2.7 billion for the comprehensive reconstruction of these settlements," the Prime Minister stressed.
According to the Prime Minister, these funds should be used to restore critical infrastructure, repair and build new residential buildings, kindergartens, outpatient clinics, defence structures and administrative buildings.
The Government also authorised the First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure to extend the agreement with the European Investment Bank to develop the water supply and sewage system in Mykolayiv.
