On the night of 9 August, fighters of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine's Group 13 special forces unit destroyed a Tunets project KC 701 speedboat near Chornomorske in Crimea using a MAGURA V5 maritime attack drone.
This was reported by the DIU.
"As a result of the operation, three more invaders' boats were also damaged. Their type is being established," the intelligence officers added.
According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, this is not the first Russian boat captured off the coast of Crimea, two Russian Tunets vessels were destroyed by intelligence officers and two more damaged in May 2024.
The Russians in Crimea used the KC 701 project fast amphibious assault boats for patrolling the waters and logistics.
The intelligence officers thanked all the citizens of Ukraine who joined the charity project "Maguras for the GUR". With the help of MAGURA V5 maritime drones, 18 Russian vessels were successfully engaged, nine of them were destroyed.
