Ukraine's defence forces continue defensive operations in the eastern and southern operational zones. The main efforts are focused on the Toretsk and Pokrovsk directions, Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyy told President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Defence Forces also continue their offensive in the Kursk Region. Since the beginning of the day, the troops have advanced between one and two kilometres in some areas.
According to Syrskyy, the search and destruction of Russians in the village of Sudzha has been completed.
Since the beginning of the day, more than 100 Russian soldiers have been captured.
Sudzha is a town in the Kursk Region, about 12 km from the border with Ukraine.
