At night and in the morning, the Russian army attacked energy facilities in the north and south of Ukraine.

No power cuts are planned for today, but consumption is gradually increasing due to warming in the southern regions. Ukrenergo urged people to consume electricity sparingly.

"This morning, Russians shelled a Ukrenergo power facility in the southern region. There were no power outages, emergency repair works are underway. At night, Russian UAVs attacked a power company's facility in the northern region, causing power outages in some areas of Chernihiv Region. In the morning, power supply was restored to all consumers," the company said.

This morning's consumption in the country is one per cent lower than yesterday. This is due to the cooler nights.

On 13 August, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 2.4% higher than on Monday. This is a significant increase in consumption, which requires the commissioning of an additional unit of a thermal power plant. Ukrenergo reminded that the system is still recovering from massive hostile attacks and called for a reduction in consumption during peak hours from 17:00 to 22:00.

Yesterday, at the request of Ukrenergo, Ukraine received emergency assistance from the Slovak power system. Exports are not taking place and are not planned.

Due to the hostilities and other reasons, 492 settlements are fully or partially de-energised. Due to the hostilities, there are power outages in Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Kherson Regions.
