During a visit to the Åland Islands on Tuesday, Alexander Stubb commented on the Ukrainian invasion of the Kursk Region, Yle reports

According to Stubb, Ukraine has every right to defend itself by moving into the Kursk Region, as Russia regularly bombs the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and has occupied large areas of Ukraine.

"We see no reason to restrict the activities of Ukrainians," Stubb said.

The President also said that Ukraine could use the weapons provided by Finland on Russian territory.

"We have no restrictions on what weapons Ukraine can use and how it can use them. The starting point is that Ukraine has every right to defend itself under international law," he said.

Ukraine has received various military assistance from Finland. In particular, ItK 61 anti-aircraft guns, Krh/92 mortars, M72 LAW anti-tank grenade launchers, assault rifles, etc.

So far, Finland has provided Ukraine with military aid worth about EUR 90 million.
