On 17 August, the Russian army attacked the civilian infrastructure of the city of Sumy. Two people have been reported injured. This was reported by the Sumy regional and city military administrations.
The head of the Sumy CMA, Oleksiy Drozdenko, reported a hit in the area of Svobody Avenue.
"There are many damaged windows, many cars are on fire. All relevant services are working," he said in a statement.
The head of the CMA added that the search for victims continues, and that two people have been reported injured in the shelling.
"This morning, on 17 August, the enemy launched a missile attack on the civilian infrastructure of the regional centre. All necessary services are working at the scene. The consequences of the enemy attack are being clarified," the Sumy regional military administration added.
