Russian occupants attacked Antonivka in the Kherson Region. As a result of the shelling, a fire broke out in the building of the Green School. The educational institution was completely destroyed.
This was reported by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration Roman Mrochko.
"Today, the Russian occupiers finished off the first and only Green School in Ukraine and the only one in the Kherson Region, which was established on the basis of School No. 21 in Antonivka. Ruscists attacked the unique school twice in half a day, causing irreparable damage," said the head of the CMA.
Mrochko added that the school, which was built with the help of the Finnish government, received its first two hundred students in 2016. "It was a remarkable event for the whole of Ukraine - the Green School was built according to European energy saving principles. It was equipped with an air purification and recovery system. There were no pipes or batteries inside the building. Heat was provided by solar panels on the roof.
The head of the CMA released a video of the Green School in Antonivka before and after a series of attacks by the Russian occupiers. He noted that the school burned to the ground as a result of the second enemy attack.
