The Russian army attacked the city of Sumy with an Iskander-K and 14 Shahed attack drones on 17 August. Air defence forces shot down all the drones.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
All 14 Shaheds were shot down by Ukrainian Defence Forces mobile firing groups, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and Air Force electronic warfare systems.
According to the Air Force, the Russian UAVs were launched from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Yeysk, and Kursk Regions of Russia.
Air defences were operating in Mykolayiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kyiv Regions.
