Ukrainian defenders shot down 28 Russian drones and missiles on 20 August.
This was reported by the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russia attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh Region, an Iskander-K cruise missile from the Bryansk Region, X-59 guided missiles from the airspace of the Kursk and Zaporizhzhya Regions, and 26 Shahed attack UAVs (launch areas - Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Yeysk, Kursk - Russia).
As a result of air combat, aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and electronic warfare units shot down 28 air targets: one Iskander-K cruise missile, two X-59 guided missiles and 25 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs within Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Vinnytsya, Khmelnytskyy, Kirovohrad, Sumy and Chernihiv Regions.
