On the evening of 1 September, Russia launched a missile attack on Sumy.
According to the regional military administration, the building housing the centre for social and psychological rehabilitation of children and an orphanage came under fire.
The RMA stressed that the building is located in a residential neighbourhood of the city.
All necessary services are working on site. People are provided with medical care. The impact of the Russian attack is being clarified.
The head of the Sumy RMA, Oleksiy Drozdenko, said that on 2 September, at 8.00 am, a headquarters would be set up at school 22, which would start working at 9.00 am.
- This afternoon, the Russians dropped several KABs on Sumy.
- As a result of the attack, one of the city's industrial enterprises was damaged, including a production and warehouse facility, an administrative building and three vehicles. A workshop of one of the local factories was also damaged. An employee of the enterprise was injured.
