Volodymyr Kudrytskyy commented on his dismissal from the position of the Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo.

According to Kudrytskyy's post on Facebook, Oleksiy Brekht has been appointed acting chairman of the board. He is a member of the company's board responsible for the operation, restoration and development of high-voltage infrastructure. A decision was also made to hold a competition to fill the position of the head of the NEC.

Kudrytskyy reminded that he initiated the extraordinary meeting of the SB because he believes that the dismissal and appointment of the CEO of Ukrenergo is ‘the authority of the Supervisory Board exclusively’.

‘This is important not only as a principle. It is the independence of the company's corporate governance and transparent business processes that are the key to providing 1.5 billion euros of financial support from Western partners to restore the power system and protect it,’ the former NEC CEO wrote.

Kudrytskyy said that the decision of the National Assembly to dismiss him had nothing to do with the security of Ukrenergo's substations.

‘I presented a detailed report on each facility to the Supervisory Board members. And the SB members had no questions to it. I cannot go into details, but more than 60 anti-drone shelters have been built at Ukrenergo substations, almost at every substation. Such engineering structures are built only at Ukrenergo's facilities. Where the Company was the customer, not a single hryvnia was spent from the state budget, as all of them were built with international support,’ Kudrytskyy wrote.

He added that recently, anonymous telegram channels and some media outlets have been campaigning to discredit Ukrenergo.

‘While Ukrenergo was restoring the system after the most severe systemic accident, someone went around offering money for a paid news that the Ukrenergo management was allegedly to blame for this accident,’ said the dismissed head of the NEC.
