Zelenskyy: Ukraine does not have enough air defence systems to protect the entire territory

The President is also dissatisfied with the fact that his partners do not allow him to destroy Russian military airfields.

Ukraine does not have enough air defence systems to protect the entire territory of the state.

This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a session of the 50th Ambrosetti International Forum in Italy, where he arrived after Ramstein in Germany.

The President spoke about the massive missile attacks carried out by Russia against our country. He recalled the shelling of Kharkiv in the first days of September, the dead and wounded, as well as the destruction of the regional centre, and the Russian attack on Poltava and Lviv on 3 and 4 September.

"Fortunately, we have air defence systems, also thanks to Italy. But this is not enough to secure our entire territory, to repel every Russian attack," Zelenskyy said.

The head of state expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that due to the position of its partners, Ukraine cannot destroy military targets in Russia.

"We still do not have permission from our partners to destroy Russian military airfields - the ones from which Russian planes carrying these bombs take off," Zelenskyy said.
