Another 103 Ukrainian prisoners of war returned home from Russian captivity

Among those released are defenders of the 36th Marine Brigade, the National Guard, including the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade, border guards, and representatives of the Kraken special forces unit.

Another 103 Ukrainian soldiers were brought back to Ukraine from Russian captivity. Among them are defenders of Kyiv, Donetsk, Mariupol and Azovstal.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"82 privates and sergeants. 21 officers. Defenders of Kyiv, Donetsk, Mariupol and Azovstal, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv Regions. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, border guards, police officers," the statement reads.

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said that the vast majority of the released prisoners had been held captive since the first days of the war.

"Among those released are defenders of the 36th Marine Brigade, the National Guard, including the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade, border guards, and representatives of the Kraken special forces. There are also representatives of the National Police and the terrorist defence, the State Emergency Service, and units of the Armed Forces," Lubinets wrote.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 57 prisoner-of-war exchanges have been carried out and 3,672 Ukrainians have been returned.
