Among Russia's allies, North Korea is creating the most problems for Ukraine, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) meeting.
"The volume of processes that they [North Korea] supply directly affects the intensity of the hostilities," Budanov said.
According to him, from the moment a ship arrives from North Korea, it takes eight to nine days for the ammunition to reach the frontline. Then they use it intensively for about two weeks.
"Yes, the supply of missiles is unpleasant for us, but this supply of ammunition - we can't do anything about it," Budanov said.
He noted that intelligence sees the entire route: the ship's arrival at the port, unloading, movement by rail, etc.
Budanov noted that the amount of military aid to Russia coming from North Korea is incomparable to anything else.
- According to US intelligence, Iran has supplied Russia with missiles. Previously, Tehran had only supplied Shahed drones. This week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that there is no evidence of the use of these missiles, but there is information about the delivery.
