In a few months, it is possible to destroy all the positions used by Russia to attack Ukraine, but we need the ability to use long-range weapons against Russia.

At the opening of the twentieth annual meeting of Yalta European Strategy, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian side and partners know ‘all the points’ in Russia.

"Both we and our partners know exactly all the points where Russia is gathering forces for strikes. All of them. They know where the Russian air defence system is located. If one of our partners does not know, we can share this information. We also know where Russian missile launchers are deployed and what logistics routes are critical for the Russian occupation forces. All this can be destroyed in a matter of months," the Head of State said.

The President stressed that Ukraine needs permission from its partners to use long-range weapons against Russia.

"Anyone who simply sees on the map where Russia strikes on a daily basis, where Russia trains its forces, where Russia keeps reserves, where it deploys military facilities and what logistics it uses - anyone who sees all this obviously understands why Ukraine needs long-range weapons," Zelenskyy said.

The Head of State noted that the logistics of weapons in Russia and the sites for Russian strikes ‘are simply, unfortunately, still out of reach for our defenders, for our defensive strikes.’

"We have effective drones. But drones cannot do everything that missiles can do. And even artillery, Putin can get more than enough and relatively cheaply in North Korea, when for Ukraine every defence package is an achievement," the President added.
