Former head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries and now a freelance advisor to the president on strategic issues, Oleksandr Kamyshin, said in an interview with the Norwegian publication Nettavisen that Ukraine has started producing its own 155mm shells.
"I can't say much, but we have started our own production of 155mm artillery shells," Kamyshin said.
He thanked the Norwegian authorities for granting him a licence to produce 155mm artillery shells: "This will help not only us, but the entire free world."
Kamyshin noted that the country's defence production has doubled since the start of the Great War. At the same time, Kamyshin said, it should triple by the end of 204.
Another goal that Ukraine has set itself is to produce one million drones by 2024. This includes everything from simple unilateral strike drones, reconnaissance drones, to long-range drones that can attack targets up to 2,000 kilometres away in Russia.
According to Kamyshin, this goal will be achieved.
