Ukrainian air defence shot down 66 Shaheds and 4 guided missiles launched by Russia on 26 September, the Ukrainian Air Force says.
Russian forces attacked Sumy Region with two missiles of an unspecified type from Belgorod Region, and Odesa Region with four X-59/69 guided missiles from the Black Sea. 78 Shahed attack UAVs were also fired at Ukraine from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel and Kursk.
Four X-59/69 guided missiles and 66 attack UAVs were shot down by Ukrainian air force in total. Eight Russian drones were lost in several regions of Ukraine (no information on casualties or damage was received).
One of the drones returned to Russia, another remains in Ukrainian airspace, and combat operations are underway.
Air defences were deployed in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsya, Khmelnytskyy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Poltava, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson, and Kharkiv Regions.
