On the night of 28 September, Russia attacked Ukraine's territory with 77 air targets: aircraft missiles, Iskanders and attack drones. Air defence forces destroyed 69 Shaheds and two X-59/69 guided missiles.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
"The Air Force's radio engineering troops detected and tracked 77 Russian air attack vehicles: two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea; two X-59/69 guided missiles from the airspace of the TOT of Zaporizhzhya Region; 73 Shahed attack UAVs from the areas of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel - Russia, Cape Chauda - Crimea," the statement said.
"As a result of the air battle, two X-59/69 guided missiles and 69 enemy Shahed UAVs were shot down in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsya, Kirovohrad, Rivne, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhya, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa and Mykolayiv Regions," the air force said.
One drone flew in the direction of the Russian Federation, while three more were lost on the territory of Ukraine.
