Russia attacked Ukraine with 32 Shahed attack drones on 1 October. Air defences shot down 29 of them.
According to the Air Force, Russians launched the drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk in Russia and Cape Chauda in Crimea.
As a result of the air battle, the Ukrainian Defence Forces' aviation, airborne and electronic warfare units shot down 29 attack UAVs in Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolayiv, Kherson, Poltava, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk Regions.
As a result of electronic warfare countermeasures, three Russian drones were lost.
