The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Lyudmyla Darahan, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and Deputy Minister of Defence Stanislav Hayder. At the same time, the other two deputies, whose resignations were submitted by Rustem Umerov, were not dismissed at the meeting today.

The report of the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Supreme Council, Taras Melnychuk, contains only these two names. In the morning, Umerov said that he had also appealed to the government to dismiss two more deputies, Oleksandr Serhiy and Yuriy Dzhyhyr.

He made a note about Hayder's transfer to the position of the head of the Minister's Office, but did not specify the careers of the other deputies.

Melnychuk added that Nikita Nikitenko will be acting state secretary of the Ministry of Defence.

In addition to the Defence Ministry, other ministries have also been replaced. The following were appointed:

  • Adamanov Edem Bekirovych as Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine
  • Oleksandr Semenets as Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine
  • Serhiy Biletskyy as State Secretary of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

In an interview with LB.ua, Rustem Umerov explained that after taking over the ministry, he replaced almost all of the previous minister's deputies, as it was a rotation. At that time, only the first deputy was left as an ‘inheritance’ after Oleksiy Reznikov.
