Russia strikes market in centre of Kherson, killing seven people, injuring six

The attack took place around 9 a.m. 

The Russian army attacked the centre of Kherson on 1 October. Russians shelled a market and a bus stop. According to information from the head of the regional military administration, seven people were killed. Six more were wounded. 

The attack was reported in Telegram by the head of the RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin.

"The attack targeted retail outlets where Kherson residents were buying or selling products in the morning," he said. 

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Russians struck at around 9 a.m., allegedly with artillery.

"The attack took place near a local market and a public transport stop. So far, it is known that seven civilians - three women and four men - were killed in the shelling. Three residents were also wounded and are being provided with qualified medical care. The data is being clarified," the statement said.

Kherson and the Region are subject to Russian attacks on a daily basis. Yesterday, Russians wounded 17 people there. They hit residential buildings and infrastructure, as well as a truck with humanitarian aid.
