On the night of 19 October, Russians launched an air strike on the Shostka community of Sumy Region, using KABs and Shakhtys.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
"As a result of the enemy attack, seven people were injured. Energy and infrastructure facilities were damaged. A number of settlements in the Shostka district are without electricity," the statement said.
Update. At 8:57 a.m., emergency blackouts were introduced in part of Sumy Region by Ukrenergo. Emergency outage schedules for stages 1 to 5 have been introduced.
Shostka, Konotop and part of Sumy districts will be without power.
All the necessary services are working at the sites of the attacks. A headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack has been deployed.
According to the JMA, three Russian attack drones were destroyed by air defence systems.
The day before, the enemy attacked rescuers in Sumy Region: a fire truck was damaged as a result of a repeated attack.
