Japan will provide Ukraine with more than $3 billion in G7 financial support.
According to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, these funds are part of a package totalling $50 billion, which will be offset by frozen Russian assets.
Earlier, the EU, the US and the UK announced their support for this initiative.
"We thank the Government of Japan for its solidarity. We call on all our partners to transfer frozen Russian assets to Ukraine. We must make the aggressor pay," the Prime Minister stressed.
