A Russian attack on the night of 29 October caused damage in two districts of the capital. In total, the air alert lasted more than four hours and was announced twice.
Russian drones entered the capital from different directions, but the defenders managed to shoot them down. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko.
"In Solomyanskyy district, in a residential area, a gas pipe was depressurised on the front of a 9-storey residential building, which caused a fire in a shop. Three parked cars also caught fire. The fire has been extinguished," he said.
One injured person was hospitalised. In his latest update, Popko reported five victims, although he had previously written about six. The State Emergency Service also reported six victims.
"In Svyatoshynskyy district, the debris smashed the windows of a three-storey administrative building. There was no information on injuries," he added.
