Air defence systems shoot down two guided missiles, 17 Shaheds overnight

Around 23 unmanned aerial vehicles were lost, three more flew towards Russia and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.

Ukraine's air defence shot down two guided missiles and 17 Shaheds on 31 October. 

According to the Air Force, Russians attacked a bridge across the Dniester Estuary in Zatoka, Odesa Region. Russian military fired two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Crimea and eight X-59/69 guided missiles from tactical aircraft over the Black Sea.

The Russians also fired two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Rostov Region at Kramatorsk.

From the directions of Kursk and Orel, Russia attacked with 43 Shahed attack UAVs and unidentified drones. In addition to two downed X-59/69 guided missiles in Odesa Region, 17 Russian UAVs were confirmed downed as of 08.00. 23 drones were locally lost, and three more Russian UAVs left the controlled airspace in the direction of Russia and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. 

Air defences were deployed in Odesa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Poltava Regions.
