In the Pokrovsk sector, Russians shot dead six captured Ukrainian soldiers.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, pre-trial investigations into the war crimes that led to the deaths of the prisoners of war have been launched under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The PGO stated that on 23 October, during an attack on Selydove, the invaders captured three Ukrainian soldiers. After some time, the unarmed Ukrainians were shot dead.
On 1 November, during the storming of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fortifications in the Pokrovsk sector, Russians killed three more prisoners of war with automatic weapons.
‘These actions constitute a violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualify as an international crime,’ the Prosecutor General's Office said.
