President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws extending martial law and general mobilisation.
This is stated in the cards of draft laws No. 12151 and No. 12152. The documents were signed today, 6 November.
As a result, martial law and general mobilisation in Ukraine will be extended for 90 days from 10 November and will last until 7 February 2025.
- The Verkhovna Rada supported these bills for the thirteenth time on 29 October. The day before, Zelensky submitted the documents for consideration.
- 311 MPs voted in favour of extending martial law and 304 voted for mobilisation.
- The bills were presented by the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, Oleksandr Lytvynenko. He said that more than 160,000 more people need to be mobilised. This will make it possible to staff the units by more than 80%.
- Currently, more than a million people have been mobilised.
