Address by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

One thousand days ago, Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

For 1,000 days, we have stood firm against an aggressor determined to erase our existence. For 1,000 days, we have defended our European home. We fight for our families, our friends, our colleagues, and our neighbors. For Kyiv and Kharkiv, Lviv and Odesa, Mariupol and Chernihiv, Simferopol and Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya. Above all, we fight for the future of our children.

The Ukrainian Army will never betray your trust. It is our national army—every Ukrainian has a friend or relative in its ranks. We share the same pain as a nation, united by one heart and one soul. Every victory and every loss is ours to bear together. Every joy and every worry is felt by all.

To everyone reading this: Ukraine’s defence forces are stronger than ever, united by one goal—to drive the occupiers from our land. A thousand days of resilience have proven this beyond doubt.

We won the battles for Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolayiv, and Odesa. We launched a brilliant counteroffensive in Kharkiv and achieved an equally remarkable advance in Kherson. And, in the end, we brought the war back to Russian soil, accomplishing what once seemed impossible.

Brothers and sisters, today, each of us must declare: “I am here. I will keep fighting and supporting the army. I will press on toward victory, no matter the obstacles.”

The Russian-Ukrainian war is not a sprint; it is a marathon. We have endured the first 1,000 days of this large-scale invasion with unshakable resolve. Many superhuman challenges lie ahead.

But victory will belong to those who endure just one day longer than the enemy. It is time to stand united once more—just as we did 1,000 days ago. Just as we did ten years ago when this war began.

Support Ukraine’s Defence Forces, where your loved ones, friends, and colleagues are already serving. Support the army in any way you can. Wherever you are—in Ukraine or abroad—do everything in your power to ensure we move forward together. Unity in the struggle is the foundation of our victory.

We will avenge every fallen hero, every lost child, every destroyed home.

Together, we will seize this historic moment to end the Russian threat for generations to come. Together, we will bring long-awaited peace to our families. Together, we will overcome all hardships and fulfill the dream of generations: a free and independent Motherland.

With unwavering faith in victory,

The Armed Forces of Ukraine
