Emergency workers are addressing the aftermath of a large-scale Russian missile attack in 14 Ukrainian regions, the State Emergency Service has reported.
Affected areas and damage
The strikes targeted Kyiv and Kyiv Region, as well as Vinnytsya, Odesa, Volyn, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, and Sumy Regions. Damage was reported to buildings, vehicles, garages, private homes, warehouses, and a multi-storey residential building in Kharkiv.
Fortunately, no fatalities were recorded. However, one person was injured in Odesa Region.
Infrastructure facilities in Rivne, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Volyn, Khmelnytskyy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolayiv, and Vinnytsya Regions were also damaged.
Rescue efforts
More than 320 emergency workers and over 80 pieces of equipment have been deployed to manage the consequences of the strikes. In Mykolayiv and Vinnytsya Regions, sappers are working alongside rescue teams to clear the debris and ensure safety.
