A second tank at an oil depot in Russia’s Orel Region has caught fire following an attack by Ukrainian drones, according to Astra, which cited local residents and shared videos of the incident.
On the morning of 14 December, Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff confirmed the strike, stating that units from the Special Operations Forces, in coordination with other Defence Forces components, targeted the Stalnoy Kon’ line-production dispatch station. This facility, located near Orel, is a significant oil product terminal linked to Russia’s military-industrial complex, supplying fuel to the army.
The strike caused a massive fire, with the extent of the damage still being assessed. The General Staff described the operation as part of efforts to disrupt Russia’s military supply chains.
The governor of the Orel Region also confirmed the attack on the fuel complex, but no additional details have been provided.
