President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Commander-in-Chief’s Staff to address the Defence Forces’ needs for drones and weaponry in the upcoming year.
Announcing the meeting on Telegram, Zelenskyy highlighted the primary focus: “The main thing is our operations with drones and procurement for this year, procurement of everything the Defence Forces need.”
During the meeting, the president reviewed reports on current and planned defence contracts. He stressed the collective responsibility of arms manufacturers, government officials, and other stakeholders to make 2025 a record year for drones of all types and to significantly increase the domestic production of missiles, artillery, and other military equipment.
Zelenskyy instructed officials to expand drone procurement and emphasised that robust arsenals are essential guarantees of Ukraine’s independence and the precision of its Defence Forces.
The President also commended Ukrainian units targeting military facilities and logistics within Russia, stating: “There should be more and more such important results.”
