On the night of 12 January, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with 94 Shahed attack UAVs and various types of imitation drones from the directions of Millerovo, Orel, Bryansk, and Kursk (Russia).
This was reported by the Air Force of Ukraine.
"The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine," the statement said.
As of 9 a.m. on 12 January, 60 attack UAVs and other types of drones were shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhya, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyy and Donetsk Regions.
Several buildings in Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava Regions were damaged by the fall of downed Russian drones.
In addition, 34 Russian decoy drones were lost locally (without any negative consequences).
