On 14 January, Russia attacked Ukraine with 80 Shahed attack drones and various types of imitation drones from the directions of Millerovo, Orel, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia).
This was reported by the Air Force.
As of 09:00, 58 Shaheds and other types of drones were confirmed to have been shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolayiv, Odesa and Kherson Regions. 21 Russian imitator drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces.
The downed Russian drones caused damage in Sumy, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv and Cherkasy Regions. Private and apartment buildings, cars, and civilian property were damaged.
Preliminarily, there were no casualties, and the injured are being provided with medical assistance.
