On the northern border, the enemy is actively using air assets - from UAVs to guided bombs.
This was stated on television by the spokesman for the Siversk military unit Vadym Mysnyk, Ukrinform reports.
‘On the northern border, the enemy is actively using the aviation component - these are explosive device drops from UAVs, FPV drones, and in recent days we have also recorded launches of guided aerial bombs. The enemy is actively using Shahed and Geranium UAVs from Kursk and Bryansk Regions via various routes, both at night and even during the day,’ said Mysnyk.
The military warns residents of the northern border not to touch enemy drones that have been shot down by electronic warfare devices, as they may explode.
‘The defence forces at the air borders, in addition to shooting down drones, also suppress them with electronic warfare devices, and they lose control and crash. In particular, in the suburbs of Sumy and Chernihiv. We would like to draw the attention of the local population to the fact that during these crashes, the striking part of the drones does not work and they should call specialised services rather than take independent action against them,' emphasised Mysnyk.
At night, Russians fired twice at the Krasnopilska community in Sumy Region, and shot down 14 Shahed in the region
